The Tri-borough Music Hub and The Rhythm Studio marked the 10th anniversary of Future Sounds last week with a spectacular live showcase at Bush Hall in West London. Seven exceptional young acts took to the stage, performing an original song and a cover version each in front of a full house and an all-star panel featuring Coldplay’s Will Champion, Texas front woman Sharleen Spiteri, rapper and broadcaster Big Zuu, and acclaimed reggae artist Hollie Cook.
Masterclass: Digby Lovatt
Thank you Digby Lovatt for an amazing masterclass on everything bass! Digby gave us a fantastic overview of his life as a session musician, from college days to playing arenas and West End musicals. He didn’t shy away from giving his best tips on how to prepare for a session, dial in deep tones, grow your network… and he showed us some jaw-dropping bass lines too!
Sixth Form Masterclass: Pixie Lott
The Rhythm Studio sixth formers were treated to a visit from internationally acclaimed pop artist Pixie Lott. Pixie, who is celebrating the release of her fourth studio album Encino, performed an intimate 4 song set for the students, then spent time taking questions and sharing insights with the students about her experiences as a singer, songwriter, actress and TV personality.
