On Tuesday we were invited down to Lyric Square to put together a small, acoustic lunchtime concert for Hammersmith BID.
On Monday 4th December, we took a trip down to Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in Fulham to put together a small lunchtime performance as a part of the Hospitals ‘Great Big Thank You Week’.
Career Development Week this year was a busy one, with our Sixth Form Students having the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of different activities, trips and workshops across the week.
As a part of our series of Masterclasses we recently had the honour of having Ciara Chinniah on site to give a lecture to our Sixth Form Students.
Another great Queen’s Park Day despite the rain! We managed to get all of our students on stage to perform, a huge thanks to our sound engineer Russell for staying calm amid the downpours! See you there next year hopefully with less rain and more sunshine ☀️
It was brilliant to see our students Mia Mirchandani, Single Workers and Mile End on stage at the Royal Albert Hall. Congratulations to the winner Amity for their beautiful performance. We're already looking forward to next year!
It was great to have Carl Smith the co-founder of Stomp back at the studio for a Stomp body percussion workshop for our sixth formers in career development week!
Such a pleasure having Dylan Myerscough-Harris with us for our sixth form masterclass! Dylan told us about his multi-faceted career in the music industry, the role of A&Rs, and he even gave us some precious advice on how to stay on top of our mental health game while being in the creative industries.
Are you in years 10-13 and love writing music? You could perform on the main stage at Future Makers 2023. There's only 2 days left to apply! We were very proud to have acts representing The Rhythm Studio last year and we'd love to see more again this year!
Successful candidates will be funded for weekly lessons at The Rhythm Studio on drums, guitar, bass, piano, vocals or music technology for three terms with the option of renewing subject to certain conditions. We also offer the experience of playing in bands, performing live and recording, as well as mentoring from music industry professionals – a full primer for a career in music.
We are really proud to share this amazing film highlighting our RSF Scholarship student Asia who, with the support of The Rhythm Studio Foundation and her tutor Maja Slatinšek, alongside her own hard work, determination and talent, has taken her place studying a BA in Music at the pioneering Leeds Conservatoire.

The Rhythm Studio is thrilled to be partnering with the Tri-borough Music Hub (TBMH), the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal College of Music in the production of Music Makes Me.
Sofar Sounds founder Rafe Offer gave an inspiring masterclass about performance opportunities for emerging artists and how his love of music led to hosting small, intimate gigs in his London living room.
We're excited to start the year off with opening applications for Future Sounds 2023! We'll be back at Bush Hall for the final and the winning act gets to record their original song at Abbey Road Studios.

It was amazing to see our RS students on stage at the Royal Albert Hall for the Future Makers competition! Cosima, Alex, Rubyrae, Magan and Artie all had incredible performances!
We are often asked for instrument recommendations from our students, and we're excited to announce a new partnership with Ucan Play. We now have our own shopfront on their website featuring instruments collated by our teachers!
Future Makers is a brand new annual schools concert which showcases talented musicians from across London. The final, hosted by RAH Associate Artists Jess Gillam and LionHeart, featured 5 of The Rhythm Studio's students and alumni. All the performances will live long in the memory and the finalists can be forever proud to have performed their own original songs at the Royal Albert Hall. Congratulations to Elye Cuthbertson from Brent Music Hub who won the competition with his incredible composition on the melodeon. We can't wait to be back again next year!
A huge thank you to percussionist Lilia Iontcheva who visited our studios to lead our sixth formers in a percussion workshop learning all about Afro-Cuban rhythms.
It's always great to have alumni students back to talk to our current sixth formers! For our career development week we had Finlay, Matthew, Marko, Layla and Tiarnan give insights about their experience in the music industry and answer lots of questions, all hosted by RS alumni legend Shamime!
First up for our sixth formers Career Development Week, artist Kiara Lanier visited the studio for a sync licensing masterclass. Students practised pitching their own songs and learnt more about the industry!
Our sixth formers had a visit from the incredible Brazilian band Cao Laru gram.com/caolaru/this week, they performed a few songs and chatted to our students about their current UK tour. A huge thanks to RS sixth form alumni Nicola for setting up the visit!
It was a joy to see our alumni student Myla on stage in the West End production of Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe the show is running until January so book your tickets to catch her amazing performance!
Our sixth formers had artist and DJ Reuben Robinson visit for this weeks masterclass. He talks about his work in organic sound design and walked us through his process of building tracks.
We loved being back at Tavistock Festival at the weekend! Always a great line up, see you again next year!

We had a brilliant day at LOVE WEST KEN at St Mary’s West Kensington. It was lovely to meet lots of people from the local community and showcase some of our incredible musicians!

Our sixth formers were lucky to be joined today by Digital Marketing wizard and TikTok connoisseur Louis Ravens, educating our young people on how to get creative with content and best practises to build their fanbase online.
