We were so happy to be involved with the creation of ‘Pick Up A Book’ a song written by the fantastic author Laura Henry-Allain to celebrate the National Year of Reading.
So fun to welcome Casper Miles back to The Rhythm Studio today for our first sixth form masterclass of 2026! From first gigs with the Stepbrother gang back in the early days of The Rhythm Studio through to success as a session musician with the likes of The Last Dinner Party, Matt Maltese, Olivia Dean and Billie Marten, Casper took us through his approach to drums, guitar and bass, and gave great advice on how to approach playing with others and learning new material. Thank you Casper!!

A Not So Silent Night! Thank you to Ladbroke Hall for welcoming us and our choir to their incredible space. Our choir of 13 RS students performed beautiful set of modern Christmas classics accompanied by RS tutor Ollie Halvorsen. We’re excited to do more in the stunning Sunbeam room at Ladbroke Hall in 2026!
What a day! It’s always great to be back at with our friends at Forever Audio with the team who give up their Saturday morning to show our students what’s possible in the post production audio world!

We were very lucky to be treated to a beautiful performance from Olympia Vitalis of her song ‘Angel Patience’ at our Sixth Form Masterclass! Thank you so much to Olympia for coming in to share the ins and outs of her musical journey with invaluable insights for our students!
We were so excited to be back at the Royal Albert Hall supporting our students in the Future Makers competition this year! REALM had a fantastic performance with our whole sixth form cheering them on.
The Rhythm Studio’s annual Career Development Week returned with a bang last week with selection of trips, masterclasses, workshops and panel sessions designed to break the mould of our typical working weeks and broaden perspectives around future career paths.
It's been great to have our 2025 leavers coming by to collect certificates with their outstanding results!

It was wonderful to welcome back Dean McGinnes to The Rhythm Studio for our first Sixth From masterclass of the year. Dean offered our students a fascinating insight into his work as a composer for film, TV and adverts, alongside many tips for all those seeking to carve out a career in the creative industries.
A huge congratulations to our RSF half marathon team and a massive thank you to their incredible fundraising efforts! We’ve raised £8,500 and with match funding we’ll make just of £12,000!
Congratulations to our amazing Sixth Formers who have achieved our best ever results this year! All students achieved at least a Merit grade for their qualification and an incredible 50% of learners were awarded Distinction*, equivalent to 3 x A* grades at A-Level and a spectacular 168 UCAS points!

This summer term has been our busiest ever, working with six local primary schools, two secondary schools and a SEN school. Over 200 8-11 year olds from local state schools participated in our 10-week Primary Schools Performance & Production workshop programme.
Lovely to be back with Fulham Good Neighbours for our acoustic lunchtime gigs with our Sixth Formers! They reworked their songs from our Summer Showcase at Bush Hall for this intimate acoustic performance at the community centre.
We’ve absolutely loved our Class of 2025! The last day of term was full of pizza, prizes and tears. We crowned our 2025 Golden Mic Winners Lucy and Zane!
The Rhythm Studio took to the road yesterday, travelling to the BP Pulse Arena in Birmingham with sixth form band The Bay who warmed up Kylie’s fans before her Tension World Tour show.
It was a pleasure to have Wizdom Layne - co-director of Sound Connections and artist manager - for our masterclass earlier today! Wizdom spoke to our sixth formers about the stages of development in the music industry, giving valuable insights on progressing from talented musicians to gigging performers and recording artists. We’re looking forward to having him back again soon!
It was lovely to have or second year sixth former back at Chelsea & Westminster hospital with CW+. We visit the hospital every term with each class to perform at their lunchtime concerts.
We were lucky to have our students attended a very special masterclass with one of the world’s leading pianists Lang Lang. They spent the afternoon observing up close 4 young pianists, including Young Musician of The Year Ryan Wang, being put through their paces by Lang Lang.
We were so lucky to welcome Victoria Port for our Sixth Form masterclass last week. Victoria took us on a journey through her career and how her style has evolved over time. She also gave the students an in depth insight into how to approach their first steps into the industry and showcased some of her new material. Thank you Victoria for an inspiring session!
The Tri-borough Music Hub and The Rhythm Studio marked the 10th anniversary of Future Sounds last week with a spectacular live showcase at Bush Hall in West London. Seven exceptional young acts took to the stage, performing an original song and a cover version each in front of a full house and an all-star panel featuring Coldplay’s Will Champion, Texas front woman Sharleen Spiteri, rapper and broadcaster Big Zuu, and acclaimed reggae artist Hollie Cook.
Thank you Digby Lovatt for an amazing masterclass on everything bass! Digby gave us a fantastic overview of his life as a session musician, from college days to playing arenas and West End musicals. He didn’t shy away from giving his best tips on how to prepare for a session, dial in deep tones, grow your network… and he showed us some jaw-dropping bass lines too!
