The Rhythm Studio Foundation School Workshops Summer 2025

This summer term has been our busiest ever, working with six local primary schools, two secondary schools and a SEN school. Over 200 8-11 year olds from local state schools participated in our 10-week Primary Schools Performance & Production workshop programme.

Pupils either came to the studio to do a Band and Music Production workshop or our team of freelance tutors visited local primary schools to deliver our iPad Music Production programme. At the end of the programme, all groups gave a special, live performance in front of teachers, peers & parents.

These workshops continue to be supported by The Ed Sheeran Foundation amongst others and in June, we successfully raised a further £10,000 with The Big Give Small Charity Week campaign for this programme.

“Working with Rhythm Studio Foundation really helped the children see a different side of music to what they usually experience in music lessons. The focus on the creative aspect of music is really inclusive and harnesses the children's natural inquisitiveness and passion for music. Working in small groups enables staff to support different learning styles and have more time working with each student and/or group.” - Christian Larke, Assistant Head, St Mary’s RC Primary School

Around 40 older pupils, aged 13-16  took part in our 10-week Logic Pro Music Production workshop programme at All Saints Catholic College, a project funded by RBKC’s Youth Council Social Action Grant. This after-school club provided the opportunity for those who had, for a variety of reasons, been unable to pursue music within the school curriculum.
