JALEESA GEMERTS

Drums

Jaleesa moved from Amsterdam to London in 2012 to study music and dived head-first into the city’s music scene. Within the first eighteen months, she joined a drumline and performed as part of the opening ceremony of UEFA championship’s final. Since then she has completed Masters at the University of West London, her Bachelor of Music (Hons) with the London Centre of Contemporary Music and has written a hip hop course for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Jaleesa has grown into a sought after musician. She played drums on George Ezra’s hit single ‘shotgun’ and sessions for various artists such as Elli Ingram, Enny, Brian Eno, Olivia Dean and The Go! Team. As a teacher she strives to deliver lessons that are tailored to the student’s learning aims.
