ALUMNI PANEL

Description: This workshop will see former students return to share their journeys with our current students via an informal Q&A and share some of their experiences since leaving The Rhythm Studio. This year we have Elliot London (El Londo) - rapper / producer, Stella Webb - singer / songwriter / producer / Berklee Graduate, Casper Miles - session musician (Willie J Healy, Billie Marten, ENNY), Wilkie Morrison - theatre sound engineer (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Anything Goes, To Kill A Mockingbird) / RADA Graduate.

ABBEY ROAD AUDITIONS

Date: Monday 16th October

Time: 1.30 - 3.30pm

Location: The Rhythm Studio, Gliddon Road, W14 9BL

Description: Sixth formers are invited to audition for a chance to record at Abbey Road. At the auditions, one band from The Rhythm Studio will earn the opportunity to record at the legendary recording studio on Saturday 4th November 2023. If you would like to audition, complete the sign-up form by Monday 9th October 2023.

DIVA EXHIBITION

Date: Tuesday 17th October

Time: 10.00am - 11.30am (Year 1 Students) and 3pm - 4.30pm (Year 2 Students)

Description: DIVA celebrates the power and creativity of iconic performers, exploring and redefining the role of ‘diva’ and how this has been subverted or embraced over time across opera, stage, popular music and film.

FUTURE MAKERS FINAL

Date: Tuesday 17th October

Time: 12.45pm - 3pm

Location: The Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AP

Description: This exciting annual concert is here to support young musicians and inspire younger pupils to engage with music and become the next generation of Future Makers. Hosted by the brilliant Jess Gillam, plus a special performance from last year’s winner Elye Cuthbertson. This year The Rhythm Studio has 3 acts in the final.

WEDNESDAY 18th OCTOBER

LCCM PRESENTATION

Date: Wednesday 18th October

Time: 12pm - 1pm

Location: The Rhythm Studio, Gliddon Road, W14 9BL

Description: JD Donovan, Creative Industries Liaison and lecture at LCCM, will give a presentation on the music industry, as well as overview of the course at LCCM.

ROUNDHOUSE WORKSHOP

Date: Wednesday 18th October

Time: 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Description: A creative industry careers insight session from the at team iconic London music venue The Roundhouse.

RALEIGH INTERNATION

Date: Wednesday 18th October

Time: 3.15 - 4.15pm

TATE MODERN

Date: Thursday 19th October

Time: 3pm - 5pm

Location: Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG

Description: Tate Modern has over a hundred years of art, from modernism in the early 1900s, to exciting works created today. This includes paintings, sculptures, and more made by artists all over the world such as Pablo Picasso, Emily Kame Kingwarreye and Jenny Holzer.

MUSIC OF TODAY: ANA SOKOLOVIC

Date: Thursday 19th October

Time: 5.45pm - 7pm

Location: Southbank Centre

Description: Born in Serbia and based in Quebec, Sokolovic is a major voice in Canadian contemporary music. She is a prolific composer for the concert hall, the opera house, theatre and film. In the four contrasting movements of Jeudes Portraits, Sokolovic pays homage to four Canadian composers of the 20th century.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT SESSION

Date: Friday 21st October

Time: 10.30am-12pm (Year 2) and 1pm-3.30pm (Year 1)

Description: The Rhythm Studio's Career Development Lead, Louis Greenwood, along with music business teacher and industry professional Harriet Pittard, lead a workshop on how to get ahead in the music industry.

CARL SMITH - STOMP WORKSHOP

Date: Friday 20th October

Time: 10am - 12pm (Year 1) and 1pm-3pm (Year 2)

Location: The Rhythm Studio, Gliddon Road, W14 9BL

Description: A workshop lead by Carl Smith, one of the founder members and performers of Stomp, offering a musical experience like no other. Carl has toured the world with the sell out show and was Artistic Director of the New York show which is still going strong after 25 years.
